Red Goodness Smoothie

Want to boost your body with nutrients quickly? This is a good way to do it! It's quick, tasty and full of vitamins. You can drink it first thing in the morning and you're done. You should feel very energetic, satisfied, and ready to start your day. Fruit and veggie smoothies  are a great way to consume your daily amount of required nutrients. Ingredients:

yield: 3-4 servings

1 1/4 cup of carrots

1 cup steamed or fresh beets, peeled

1 teaspoon (or less) fresh ginger root, peeled 

1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves

1/4 cup apple

1 stalk of celery

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

Juice of 1 lemon

1 cup almond milk

1/4 cup water

ice - optional

 

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients in the blender until smooth and creamy. Drink immediately.
