Chili Pods and Garlic Base

This is a great base that you can keep in a mason jar in the fridge and use for so many dishes. It is loaded with flavors, good oils, and warm spices. The smell is so fragrant, and you can use it as a base for a rice dish or as a base for your soup, chili dishes, stews etc.

The good thing is that you are in control of what you put in it: very few ingredients, and no artificial flavors or preservatives. Pure health.

Ingredients:

1 package do dried Chili pods 8oz/226.7g

2 heads of garlic peeled

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/4 cup olive oil

1 tablespoon turmeric powder

1 tablespoon cumin powder

1 tablespoon salt

Directions:

Start by removing the stems off of all of the chili pods, and tear/slice each chili into several pieces (around 3-4), so it will be able to fit into the grinder. In a coffee grinder, grind the chili pods 2 at a time.

Grind until you reach a powdery texture.

Pour the powder into the food processor, add the garlic, coconut oil, olive oil, turmeric, cumin and lemon salt.

Mix until it becomes almost like a paste.

Keep in a jar in the refrigerator, and use it as a base for many dishes (rice, soups, stews, chilis, etc.)
