My trip to London and Paris - Recommendations
Traveling as a vegan can be challenging at times and I want share with you what I learned from my latest trip to London and Paris.
London is actually very vegan friendly! I was surprised to find vegan options almost everywhere.
A few great restaurants that I visited include:
Farmacy - Great atmosphere, amazing food! All the dishes were extremely fresh and delicious! High quality food, very recommended!
Dishoom - Great modern Indian cuisine, definitely not the typical / traditional Indian food, at least not the ones you'll find in the U.S. but still, every dish that we ordered was fantastic.
Cafe Forty One - Vegan High Tea - traditional outstanding sandwiches! Very impressive! All the cakes were super tasty too! Location is inside a hotel, pretty cool, great service, my daughter and I enjoyed it a lot!
Mildreds - Ok place, nothing to write home about. If you like your food to be on the sweeter side, then you might enjoy it.
Woodlands - Indian cuisine - very good food! More traditional which I prefer, and excellent service! Every dish was amazing! Great location on Marylebone street, cute neighborhood, recommended indeed.
Looking for a cool place to do a walking tour? Shoreditch is definitely THE place!
Here are some of the places we visited:
Dark Sugar Chocolates - The best vegan chocolate milk! So so delicious!
London Tea Exchange - Super fun! Nice selection of teas.
Merkamo Ethiopian - Not the typical Ethiopian food, but tasty and good. It is located within the Spitalfields Market where you'll find many other delicious food options.
Looking to see a show in London?
Mamma Mia - never gets old! Even my 22 year old daughter enjoyed it a lot! Very enjoyable show! Worth every penny:)
Looking for a cute hotel?
hub by Premier Inn London Goodge Street Inexpensive, great location, nice clean rooms, friendly staff. Recommended! Especially since when we visit London we are outside most of the day and come back to the hotel at night to sleep.. so this is just perfect!
Another positive thing about this hotel is that there are plenty food options around it. In fact, there is a nice health market attached to the hotel with lots of vegan options.
Paris wasn’t as vegan friendly unfortunately...
Lots of butter, cheese and meat as the main food, which made it more challenging.
Nevertheless here are a few that I liked:
Niebe - Upscale cuisine, lovely vegan options! A bit pricey, however food was very flavorful, presented nicely, and tasty. Recommended for sure!
Cloud Cakes - Yummy avocado toast and delicious vegan croissant - nice coffee break:)
La Palanche D'aulac - Low-key Vietnamese cuisine, great casual food.
Cuppa Cafe Paris - A little gem in Paris! Tiny place with the most beautiful avocado toast in town...Owner is super nice and friendly. Must visit! Not food food but great for breakfast or snack.
Looking for a place to sleep?
K+K Hotel - was great! Clean, good location, nice friendly staff.
We all know how difficult it can be to find a good, decent, satisfying vegan food, especially when you travel and you are not familiar with the local places. I hope this post will help you out, and let me know if you visit any of the above recommended places!
