Chocolate Petits Fours

I love cooking with my 9 years old boy and these are the perfect treats to make together as a team.

What an enjoyable process, and the result is amazing! Thinking that those Petits Fours are pretty healthy too, with no preservatives, real organic peanut & nut butter, and real organic chocolate. Good stuff.

a great idea for a sweet gift to your Valentine💖. They look so professional and festive. Wrap them up in a small clear bag and tie it with a nice ribbon. Fabulous home-made gift.

yield: 30 Petits Fours

Ingredients:

1 cup almonds

1 cup organic peanut butter and almond butter mixture

1/3 cup pure maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 package of semi sweet chocolate chips 12 oz / 340 g, melted

1 teaspoon coconut oil

Directions:

In a food processor add almonds, process until you reach a flour consistency. It's ok if you have some tiny pieces of almonds , they will add some texture. Then add peanut butter and almond butter mixture, agave and vanilla extract. Pulse until combine.

in the meantime melt the chocolate and coconut oil in a glass mixing bowl in the microwave.

take a baking sheet and line with a parchment paper.

create mini balls from the batter. Take 2 forks and use them to dip each ball in the melted chocolate. Keep doing the same with the rest of the batter. Lay them on the baking sheet and place in the fridge for an hour. Then, warm the leftover chocolate again in the microwave, and use a fork to drizzle lines of chocolate over the petits fours. It creates a fabulous design.

let it cool again in the fridge for about an hour.

Store in a container in the fridge.
