Dates & Chocolate Vegan Treat

Dates & Chocolate are definitely one of the best guilt-free treats around! This treat has a wonderful texture of chewy and crunchy at the same time. It is perfectly sweet but not overly sweet. So simple to prepare and last forever if stored in the freezer.

Ingredients

1 package of baking pitted dates 13 oz / 375g

1 package of semi-sweet chocolate 8 oz / 226 g

Zest and juice of 2 oranges

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

1 tablespoon almond milk

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

1 cup graham crackers, chopped

Sesame seeds for sprinkle 

 

Directions

Take a 4.5" x 11" dish- lined with parchment paper, set aside.

In a saucepan add all the ingredients except the walnuts and graham crackers.

Stir constantly on low heat until combined.

Add the walnuts and the graham crackers and mix.

Sprinkle the bottom dish with sesame seeds.

Pour into a mold of your choice, and refrigerate or freeze.

When it's set, slice thin pieces and serve.
